Last entry of Pepper project

This is another one for the Pepperproject of Imaginary Friends Studios which I mentioned in my previous posts. It has the feeling of 1950s poster art.i like thouse vibrant colours and simple painting strokes.Done in Corel painter/Photoshop.( actually i did it couple of weeks ago but i post it just now:(

I just turned one of the sketches that I posted earlier in to a painting (Corel Painter/a little bit of Photoshop) it took me around 3 hours!!!

Red Baron

The Red Baron-Life after Death

I haven't used any reference for the face or his attire that is why i cant it is close depiction it is the way i see him...happy as he is rising up in the sky, coz i think he died as he wanted to, as the best pilot, in a air battle!!!!

This is the legendary Fokker Dr1( I used reference to paint and it is very close to the original I suppose:)

This piece i started as something else and as i was going further i came up with this final idea.
Baron Manfred von Richthofen or otherwise known as the Red Baron was the best pilot-fighter during the World War I, and even now more than 90 years after his death his fame is still undimmed...

WIP new

There are many things I'm working on at the moment and hopefully soon will update heavily:)

Yestarday frends of mine were asking me how I digitally draw (coz they never saw me doing it), so in around half an hour i did this doodle to show them and take advantige of the opportunity to enjoy evening in a cafe and do some practice...
I have been focusing on faces recently, I want to be able to draw faces easily without reference.

Riding Victory

I did new pencil sketch it took me less than a couple hours of work...now looking forward to add some colours on it in PhotoShop.
I'm actually starting to enjoy this type of mix media works.... hopefully is not temporary:)

Victory

Finally it's done! A fresh entry for the Pepper project . I found out that my name translates in Japanese kanji as Victory-and this are the symbols in the middle and the name I gave to this work!! Under is my new Katakana signiture which reads-Ko-ri-o (kollyo)-there is no "L" in Japanese:). This piece was inspired by awesome art of Huang Nguyen.

I had couple of hours to come up with somthing for my colegue Baber b-day. I know it looks rough but I didn't have time..It printed very well on a high res peper thou (quality maters:)

...No, no I haven't being lazy, I'm busy and I will post more details when I'm done with it! Screen shot is from Photoshop but actually it is mainly done in Painter( was just trying some stuff in PS).

Yesterday I got my laptop back... My Windows crashed while I was installing new antivirus programme...so i had to wait two days to restore it (coz i didn't find my system restore back up dvds, it's good that I could get all my files back -no back up, but now i learnt the lesson and i got brand new WD external 160GB to back up my works:)...anyhow...
I'm on the line again and coz there is nothing new I will post some more villas design pics, (actually I'm working on something right now) sorry if you got bored with them!

I have finished the villas...Sketch Up is great to do some visuals and some quick ideas...this one is based on old work of mine,but now I could do more variants and different angles in a click of a button, drawing them by hand would cost me a lot of time otherwise!

Google SketchUp: it's a small and wonderful programme...Today I watched some videos on YouTube n how to use it, and did my first really fineshed drawing in SketchUp, recreating an old project of mine...enjoy!

I'm back

Just to reassure that I'm not been actually so lazy i have to say that I'm working on my drawing skills but I haven"t posted anything. Shame on me!
I was on a short trip to KL in Malaysia and along with the enjoyment that I had with my friends over there, I brought some impressions home that i sketched and I'm going to post one of them here, it's b&w but I'm going to colour it soon ...i promise:)
